Stonework
We install natural stone on walls, façades, floors and stairs, and make worktops, sills and thresholds to measure. We work with marble, granite, limestone and travertine, including cutting, edge finishing and polishing.
Natural stone wall and façade cladding
Stone cladding on façades and interior walls is bonded or mechanically fixed, depending on the slab thickness, the height and the substrate. On façades we plan movement joints, the finishes around openings and how water runs off the stone. The layout of slabs and joints is agreed before cutting, so the veining and shades of the stone match. For ventilated façades the substructure is agreed with the designer.
- Materials and formats
- Limestone, travertine, granite, quartzite; deformable C2TE S1 or S2 adhesives, stainless anchors and substructures for ventilated façades.
Natural stone floors and polishing
We lay marble, granite, limestone and travertine floors, in tiles or cut to measure. After laying, the stone is ground, polished or left in the agreed finish, then sealed. Old stone floors are cleaned, ground and repolished, with damaged slabs and joints repaired. The finish suits the room: polished indoors, honed or sandblasted on wet and outdoor surfaces.
- Materials and formats
- Marble, granite, limestone, travertine; adhesives for natural stone (white, rapid-setting), sealers and care products.
Staircases, treads and risers
Stone staircases are made with treads and risers cut to measure, with finished front edges and anti-slip grooves where needed. We match the rise and going so every step is the same. We build interior and exterior stairs in homes and public buildings. For outdoor stairs, the stone and its finish are chosen to resist frost and slipping, and existing stairs can be clad with new stone or restored by grinding and polishing.
- Materials and formats
- Granite, marble, limestone; anti-slip grooves or a sandblasted finish, adhesives for natural stone.
Kitchen and bathroom worktops, window sills and thresholds
Worktops, vanity tops, window sills and thresholds are made to measure from a template or an on-site survey. Cut-outs for sinks, basins and hobs are made before installation, and edges are finished as agreed. Outdoor sills get a drip groove so water does not run down the façade. Before the stone is ordered we agree its type, thickness and finish.
- Materials and formats
- Granite, marble, quartzite and other natural stone; adhesives and silicones for stone, drip grooves.
Pool copings and outdoor surfaces
Pool copings, paths and outdoor surfaces are built in stone that resists frost and chlorinated water. Edges are rounded or square, and surfaces get an anti-slip finish, for example sandblasted or flamed. Falls lead water away from the pool and the building, with movement joints matched to the substrate. Finally the stone is sealed, so it is easier to maintain.
- Materials and formats
- Limestone, granite, travertine; anti-slip finishes (sandblasted, flamed), frost-resistant adhesives and grout, sealers.
Flexible stone — sales and installation
Flexible stone is a light, bendable panel with a natural stone look for interior and exterior walls. We sell 60 × 120 cm panels in Bež and Off white and install them on existing substrates and new façades. The panels are water and UV resistant. Prices, collection and installation terms are on the flexible stone page.
- Materials and formats
- 60 × 120 cm panels (0.72 m²) in Bež and Off white.

How we work
-
Site visit and survey
We visit the site, measure the surfaces and check the substrate, drains and the joints with other trades.
-
Quote with a bill of quantities
We send a quote with items, quantities and a schedule, so you can compare it line by line.
-
Execution
We work to the agreed plan, with substrate preparation and waterproofing where they are needed.
-
Handover and guarantee
We inspect the finished work with you before handover. Our work carries a 2-year guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
Which stone suits a kitchen worktop?
Granite and quartzite are used most, as they are hard and less sensitive to acids than marble and limestone. Marble is possible, but needs sealing more often and more careful care.
Does natural stone need sealing?
We recommend sealing most natural stone after installation and renewing the sealer according to how hard the surface is used. Sealing reduces staining but does not make stone resistant to acids.
Can an old stone or marble floor be restored?
Yes, by grinding, polishing and replacing damaged slabs. We assess the scope on a site visit, by the depth of the damage and the type of stone.
What does the price of stonework depend on?
On the type and thickness of the stone, the format, the finish, the number of cuts and cut-outs, and the state of the substrate. We send a quote with a bill of quantities after the survey.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. Our work carries a 2-year guarantee. It does not exclude or limit your statutory rights in respect of defects.
